Summary
This stamp has selvage at bottom. It was first offered at the October 1945 auction of the Colonel Green collection, where it was offered as a pair with Position 90. A stipulation of the bidding was that the pair would be broken if bids as singles exceeded that for the pair. It was separated from Position 90 shortly after the auction.
It next appeared at auction in the 1961 Kessler auction of the Rafael Oriol Collection, who had brought his stamp collection with him when fleeing Cuban nationalization in 1959.
Position 100 next appeared in the 1982 Siegel auction of the Martin L. Butzel Collection of Worldwide Air Post, where it sold to dealer Irwin Weinberg, who later traded it to Kenneth Wenger for another collection and cash. It was offered in the Bennett auctions of the Michael D. Rubin and Ron L. Scott collections before being purchased again by Irwin Weinberg.
