Description

The block of four with trimmed left margin; bright fresh colors. positions 61, 62, 71, 72, the item is from the better centered portion of the sheet. On the face there is a barely noticeable natural brown paper speck in the bottom right comer of position 72.

Each stamp with Economist Stamp Company "guarantee". There are only *three other recorded blocks of four in existence, all of which are position blocks. A lovely show-piece and one of the great rarities of American philately with a proven investment potential.

The block is with original gum. There have been several hinges largely removed, resulting in one small barely visible thin in position 61 . A faint natural gum bend--usual with this issue--runs from top right of position 61 through to a portion of position 62. This is not visible on the face. There are no perforation separations
