Summary

Position 50 was first offered as the top stamp in a vertical pair in an April 1946 auction of the Colonel Green collection. It was purchased by noted dealer Warren H. Colson, who held it until offering the pair in a 1960 Kelleher sale. It was purchased in the Kelleher sale by Stanley J. Richmond. In February 1961 it was offered by H.E. Harris & Co. as a pair (see letter). It was later sold privately to Robert A. Siegel.

Position 50 made its next appearance as a single in a 1994 Siegel auction. The pair was broken prior to 1968, which the first time Position 60 appeared as a single.
