Summary
Position 60 was first offered as the bottom stamp in a vertical pair in an April 1946 auction of the Colonel Green collection. It was purchased by noted dealer Warren H. Colson, who held it until offering the pair in a 1960 Kelleher sale. It was purchased in the Kelleher sale by Stanley J. Richmond. In February 1961 it was offered by H.E. Harris & Co. as a pair (see letter). It was later sold privately to Robert A. Siegel.
Position 60 made its next appearance as a single in a 1968 Siegel auction. It was next offered in the 1970 Siegel auction of the A.T. Seymour collection where it was purchased by Greg Manning, who sold it to a California dealer. It was then offered in a 1972 Corinphila auction in Switzerland. It made another appearance at auction in the same year, at a Simmy's sale in Boston.
It was last offered in a 1974 Siegel sale.
