Summary
Little is known about Position 94. Our first record is the 1960 auction of the late T. Charlton Henry, where it was purchased by Erwin Griswold, who would become Solicitor-General of the United States in the Johnson and Nixon administrations, and served for 21 years as the dean of Harvard Law School.
It was purchased in the 1979 "Eastern" sale (pseudonym for Griswold) by dealer James Torelli, who later sold it to dealer Andrew Levitt. The trail then went cold, until it turned up in the estate of Melvin Getlan.
