24c Carmine Rose and Blue, center inverted (C3a), positions 41-42/51-52,
rejoined horizontally with margin and arrow at left, well-centered, fresh color and
excellent impression, slightly mount disturbed original gum, pinpoint thin in the top
right stamp
This block was purchased in the Green sale on March 25, 1946 by New York dealer Y. Souren who later passed it on to a collector L. D. White. Sold by White in 1949 to Raymond and Roger Weill. The block then passed through several collectors and was reacquired by the Weill brothers in 1984. Exhibited by the Weills at Ameripex 1986.
