Owner Biography
Bruce McNall
According to Wikipedia, Bruce McNall was born April 17, 1950 in Arcadia, California. He is a former owner of the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, which he purchased from Jerry Buss (also a stamp collector, who once owned the rarest U.S. stamp, the 1c Z Grill).
McNall completed the purchase of the Los Angeles Kings in 1988, and brought Wayne Gretzky to the team that same year. That transaction is considered by some to have triggered a dramatic rise in NHL salaries throughout the 1990s.
Bruce McNall's stamp collection was sold October 26, 1992 by Superior Stamp and Coin Co., as the "Connoisseur" Collection. His inverted Jenny block was illustrated on the front cover of the catalog.
